Just wanted to keep everyone in the loop about our big show at The Canal Club in downtown Richmond, VA next Friday April 23rd at 8pm. We’re headlining the event with support from Richmond’s own, LarJar (a jazz/funk/fusion trio), and Aquafuture (a funk/jazz/electronic fusion group from Richmond). Both are amazing bands and really fun to see live. Doors open at 8pm, music starts at 8:30 with Aquafuture opening. Tickets are being sold in advance for $8 and $10 at the door. In preparation for the show, DbS is going on a weekend retreat to a farm in Buckingham County in western Virginia. We’re going with our mobile practice setup/studio and our acoustic instruments to work out some new covers, to breathe new life into some older songs with our singer, Jenna B, and to gain some inspiration for new originals we’ve been slowly hammering out over the last few months. We’ll be working there from Friday April 16th to Sunday April 18th. We look forward to our return to play the Canal Club show and we hope all of you can make it out!
