Hello friends!
As most of you have probably heard, we’ve been taking some time off to reform a bit after initially losing our drummer, Mike. Shortly after that, our keyboard player, Tommy left the group to pursue his solo musical career. We wish them both the best of luck for the future and we thank them for all their contributions to making this group become what it is.
We then found ourselves in the predicament of finding replacements. For drums we found a particularly diverse and talented local drummer by the name of Rob Reardon. After Rob’s recommendation, we asked an awesome local keyboard player, Sean Reese to step up to the keys with us.
Over the last month, things have turned out better than we could have imagined. The two new members have opened up the world of DbS once again, and we’re very excited to be rejoining the live scene within the next few months. Sean and Rob each bring a whole new feel to the music, while still maintaining the familiar sound people have come to expect from us. With help and guidance from Mike and Tommy, the transition has been extremely smooth. There is still some work to be done, but we expect to be fully up and running by late May.
While rehashing some of our older material, several new songs have emerged that we’re all really excited about. Looks like a new album could be in the works late this Summer! But first, we plan on serenading all of you live as soon as possible. With help from local restaurant, City Dogs and our manager, Kim at Turning Point Promotions, we’ll be setting up our monthly Saturday shows at City Dogs in Richmond, as well as elsewhere all over this Summer. Stay tuned on here and on our Facebook page for show updates to come soon. As always, thanks for all your love and support!
